In order to be considered for a George M. Pullman Educational Foundation Scholarship, you are required to complete and submit an online application that may ask you to provide the Foundation with personally identifiable information, such as your full name, address, email address, phone number, school, parent or guardian names, parent or guardian phone numbers, parent or guardian email addresses, relevant tax information, your date of birth, gender, personal interests, academic performance data, extracurricular activities, personal essays, or other identifying information.

The Foundation may use your personally identifiable information to contact you if it has any questions about your application, to provide notification of awards, and to analyze application trends and data. The Foundation may also use personally identifiable information to provide or improve services to recipients of scholarships.

Security of Credit Card Information

The Foundation accepts online donations and in doing so uses a variety of safeguards to protect the security of your credit card transactions, such as encryption, access controls, network firewalls, physical security and other measures. These measures make it extremely difficult for anyone to intercept donor’s credit card information. The Foundation may work with other companies, such as PayPal, to process credit card transactions, but only if those companies also use encryption and other security measures.

The Foundation will not sell, rent, trade, or disclose your personally identifiable information to third parties without your permission. The Foundation reserves the right, without notice to you, to disclose your personally identifiable information as required to do so by law or when the Foundation reasonably believes that disclosure is necessary, such as to respond to an emergency that it believes involves potential threats to the safety of persons or property.
